Aluminum Alloys for Machining

Aluminum is a light-weight versatile metal that is very easy to machine and even offers great resistance to corrosion.

Two aluminum alloys that are suited for CNC machining are Aluminum 7075 and 6061.

• Aluminum 7075: Known for its hardness, high strength, corrosion resistance, low weight, and high heat tolerance, Aluminum 7075 is one of the best options.
